Refund policy

Fourteen days, no argument. If Retirement Preflight is not what you wanted, write to us within 14 days of your purchase and we will refund it. You do not need to justify the request.
How to request one
Email support@preflightretirement.com from the address you bought with, or include your order number. We will process the refund through Stripe, our merchant of record. Refunds return to the original payment method, and how quickly the money appears is up to your bank — typically a few business days.
Once a refund is issued, the associated license key stops working. The free tier of the application remains available to you, as it is to everyone.
Try before you buy
We would rather you did not need a refund at all. The free tier is not a time-limited trial: every input, the entire projection engine, the full Workbench, the Find Best optimizer, saving and printing are available without paying, indefinitely. What a license adds is the ability to open a saved plan again. Please use the free tier first and satisfy yourself that the software does what you need — it is the same engine and the same numbers either way.
If you needed a non-US planner
Retirement Preflight models United States tax law only, and we say so on the home page, in the support pages and in the terms. If it nevertheless reached you as a surprise, that is exactly the kind of purchase we would rather undo than argue about — write to us and we will refund it, inside the 14 days or reasonably close to it.
Buying a later tax year
Each tax year is published as its own version of the app and bought separately. The same 14-day window applies to each purchase. Because the tax year a version carries is the main thing you are buying, the app names it in the header and on every printed report — please check that it is the year you want before purchasing, and ask us if it is not obvious.
Refunding a later year's version does not affect a version you already own: that license is separate and stays valid.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any refund, cancellation or withdrawal right you have under the consumer law of your own country. If your local law gives you a stronger right than the 14 days described here, that right applies, and Stripe as merchant of record handles those obligations for the sale.
